String Quartet in C
Brett L. Wery’s String Quartet was written for New York quartet, The Hyperion String Quartet. This 18 minute, three-movement piece is a rhythmically vital with dark, complex harmonies and infectious melodies. The middle movement has an extensive viola solo. It’s an ideal concert closer perfect for professional and college level quartets.
Wery’s String Quartet was awarded the GRAND PRIZE in the 2021 Classic Pure Vienna International Music Competition in Vienna, Austria.
